LyteWi Internet Services ("LyteWi," "we," "us") collects the following information from subscribers and prospective customers:
Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, physical address or slip/berth number, and billing information necessary for service delivery and invoicing.
Network Data: Connection timestamps, IP address assignments, bandwidth usage statistics, device identifiers (MAC addresses), and signal quality metrics collected automatically during service use for network management and optimization.
Communications: Phone numbers provided for service notifications, account alerts, and support communications via SMS and voice.
We use collected information for: delivering and maintaining wireless internet service; billing and payment processing; sending service notifications including outage alerts, maintenance notices, and account updates via SMS and email; network troubleshooting and performance optimization; responding to support inquiries; and complying with legal obligations.
By providing your phone number during service signup at portal.lytewi.com and checking the SMS consent checkbox, you expressly agree to receive SMS text messages from LyteWi Internet Services at the number provided. These may include: service activation confirmations, outage and maintenance notifications, billing reminders, acceptable use policy delivery, and account security alerts.
Message frequency varies based on service events. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance. Our SMS number is (619) 927-1800. You may also opt in at any time by texting START to (619) 927-1800.
No mobile information (including phone numbers collected for SMS) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in consent will not be sold, shared, rented, or used for any purpose other than delivering the communications described above.
LyteWi does not sell, rent, or trade subscriber personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. We may share information with: payment processors for billing; service providers who assist in operating our network under confidentiality agreements; and law enforcement or government agencies when required by valid legal process such as subpoenas or court orders.
Account information is retained for the duration of service and for a reasonable period thereafter for billing and legal compliance. Network logs are retained for up to 90 days for troubleshooting and security purposes. SMS opt-out preferences are retained indefinitely to honor your communication choices.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect subscriber information, including encrypted storage of sensitive data, access controls limiting employee access to customer information, and secure network infrastructure with monitoring.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements), and opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
LyteWi does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
